IFOMPT Congress Basel 2024

Crossing Bridges

What a happening! Over these several days so much has happened! We have attended numerous lectures by the world experts in physiotherapy – trying to link contemporary science with clinical practice. Amazing people with overwhelming knowledge… with many of them we talked privately right after their presentations or had a drink at the post congress social happenings…

This was an exceptional experience to meet them (again), since our daily bread is sharing the top knowledge with our course participants, often citing the big names of these brilliant scientists, clinicians, friends.

We were also proud, that our teaching organisation – the IMTA (International Maitland Teachers Association) was a co-organiser of this most important Congress in the field of Physiotherapy. Not only did we have our own stand at the industry exhibition, with a lot of networking, fun games and the best coffee at the whole venue, but we also were very present as an active part around the stages and in the audience.

With a long (well over 30 years) history of existence of the IMTA, as one of the strongest teaching group in the world, we are proud to be an active partner of the IFOMPT, providing the highest standards in physiotherapy education.

In this short time we met literally hundreds of old good friends from all over the world and made some new connections with people like us – seeking knowledge at its roots….

Thomas took part in the post congress worksop with world class specialist Duncan Reid from New Zealand to enrich his skills in spinal manipulations. Huge thanks to Duncan!!!!
